HVAC Recommendation

Postby jlchellman » Wed Jul 21, 2010 12:50 pm

RIck Strickler just completely replaced the HVAC system at my sister-in-law's townhouse across the street, as well as my next door neighbor. His rates and service are absolutely outstanding. His current contact information is as follows:

SO my A/C died again.. I say "again" because it seems do do something bad each year. Last year it was a fan run capacitor.. I thought it was the same problem this year so I bought one and about blew it up in my hand! (remember the 220V disconnect!). Anyway.. I gave up, and called Rick. He put a meter on everything and checked things out. He found that one of the poles in my breaker box that the circuit breaker connects to was VERY loose. (could have shorted out and cause a fire!). He tightend it up, but everything back together and put another new capacitor in.. reconnected the 220 anf Hummmmmmmm nice, beautiful, cool refreshing COLD AIr!!!

Thanks Rick!!

(The price for a Friday night service call was great too.. VERY reasonable)

Ed-So you are back to using Rick? I know you posted something earlier about Ashburn Air. Do you think Rick can handle the volume he gets from Cascades? I had a negative experience in getting him to respond before but looking at replacing my 17 year old unit.

Rick has done right by me. I heard he just had a death in the family last week. That's always tough. I feel for him. Might be buying a whole new system too.. we'll see but he is back.

Will do. Right now I am dealing with a dishwasher that keeps popping the circuit breaker.. I suspect bad element so I am washing a test run now without heated dry to test.
